Les jours de folies
Il Folies Bergère, antico teatro parigino, tutt'ora funzionante ma i suoi anni di maggior successo son stati quelli tra la fine dell'800 e la Belle époque. Certo è che in molti, forse, lo conoscono soltanto per un quadro di Manet dipinto tra il 1881 e il 1882 dal titolo "Un bar aux Folies Bergère". Il Folies Bergère è stato molto di più, negli anni ha ospitato spettacoli di ogni tipo, dal varietà al vaudeville (l'antenato del burlesque e quanto immaginario burlesque c'è nelle immagini sotto)) e alcune tra le donne di spettacolo più famose e belle dell'epoca, da Josephine Baker a Otero. Da non dimenticare Charlie Chaplin e più avanti Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald e altri. Insomma, uno di quei luoghi che hanno fatto la storia.

Sunglasses after dark
